“For what you have done I will always praise you in the presence of your faithful people.  And I will hope in your name, for your name is good.”  Psalm 52:8-9

In the Name of Jesus, we find every help we need.  There is nothing that cannot be conquered in the Name of Jesus.  I absolutely cringe every time I hear His Name used in vain by someone.  I immediately say it as a prayer …. Jesus, My Lord and My God.  The same short one line prayer can also be used as an affirmation.  It can be the most simple, yet most powerful affirmation in your arsenal.

Today I am sharing an entry on the name of Jesus from one of my favorite daily devotionals, God Calling, by A.J. Russell.  If you don’t already have an arsenal of affirmations then start one to day with His name at the top.

June 17 –

“Jesus.”  Say My Name often.  It was in My Name Peter bade the lame walk.  “In the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth arise and walk.”

“Jesus.”  The very sounding of My Name, in Love and tenderness, drives away all evil.  It is the word before which all the hosts of evil flee.

“Jesus.”  My Name is the call for a life line to rescue you from temptation.

“Jesus.”  The Name banishes loneliness–dispels gloom.

“Jesus.”  Summons help to conquer your faults.  I will set you on high because you have known My Name.

Yes!  My Name — “Jesus.”  Use it more.  Use it tenderly.  Use it prayerfuly.  Use it powerfully.
