“Simply proclaim the Lord Christ holy in your hearts, and always have your answer ready for people who ask you the reason for the hope that you have. But give it with courtesy and respect and with a clear conscience, so that those who slander your good behaviour in Christ may be ashamed of their accusations.” 1 Peter 3:15-16
In this Gospel Peter asks us to be prepared to explain our faith. Most of us know what we truly believe in our hearts, but putting our reasons into words that can convince someone else is a more difficult task.
Spending time in His Word, in the Bible, is essential to knowing the whats and the whys of our faith. The more time spend with Him the more solid our foundation of faith, the easier to put it into words. As we spend more time with Him in His Word we begin to become more and more like Him. It becomes second nature to share Him with others.
Proclaim the Lord Christ! Speak from your heart. Be respectful of the faith walk of others. Christ will meet them right where they are.
