Lord, You are Humility.

Forgive me, Lord, for my many sins of self-centeredness, selfishness,  self-righteousness, and pride.  Especially forgive me when I let another’s needs go unmet to satisfy my own personal desires.

Thank you, Lord, for your example of compassionate living, or living outside oneself in order to serve others.  Help me to be that humble.

When we are self-serving, we are really self-defeating.  It is only in serving others humbly that we can truly be self-serving.
