Lord, You are Solace.
Forgive me, Lord, when my lack of control over tragic events makes me feel as if I can do nothing. Forgive me when the world’s seeming hopelessness brings me to despair.
Thank you, Lord, that my hope is not of this world, but of your world. Help me to realize that all is in your power, and that if I join my prayers to the suffering of this world, evil can be transformed. Help me also to be your Light, your reflection, that all might see You through me and the find the Solace you long to give.
