“I will exalt you, LORD, for you lifted me out of the depths and did not let my enemies gloat over me. LORD my God, I called to your for help, and you healed me. You, LORD, brought me up from the realm of the dead; you spared me from going down to the pit. Sing the praises of the LORD, you his faithful people; praise his holy name. For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime; weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning.” Psalm 30:1-5
How glorious it is when we realize where we are, where we could have been, and who it was that saved us. Jesus sees and knows all. He sees the mistakes you make and the pitfalls that lay before you. He does not want you to fail, but instead, to succeed in His Name as a glorious witness to His steadfast love, faithfulness, and mercy. He not only expects us to call out to Him in need, but He desires us to.
Are you hanging over the edge of the pit right now, clinging for dear life, and not knowing how to save yourself? He is there. Call out His name. Call out to Jesus, the same Jesus who gave His life for you. He did not give up His life to lose the battle for yours. Let Him bring you back from the realm of the dead. He will spare you … if you but look to Him. He will grab hold and not let you go.
And when He brings you up, out of the pit, praise His Holy Name for all others to know and see what He has done for you!
