“He who rejects Me and does not receive My sayings, has one who judges him; the word I spoke is what will judge him at the last day. For I did not speak on My own initiative, but the Father Himself who sent Me has given Me a commandment as to what to say and what to speak. I know that His commandment is eternal life; therefore the things I speak, I speak just as the Father has told Me.” John 12:48-50
Here, in His own words, Jesus tells us blatantly that He speaks according to The Father’s commandment. He comes to bring us Eternal Life, to both show and tell us how to achieve it. Jesus is our blueprint for success sent to us by The Father. He is The Way, The Truth, and The Life.
The Gospels not only bring us the Good News, they provide us with directions to get to Heaven. We have no good excuse not to follow them. In order to do so, we must make it a priority to spend time in His Word learning the Way.
If you are not already doing so, make it a habit to read daily in The Bible, for as Jesus, Himself, puts it… His Word will be our judge.
