Hail, holy Queen, Mother of mercy, our life, our sweetness, our hope. To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve; to thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley of tears. Turn, then, most gracious advocate, thine eyes of mercy toward us, and after this our exile, show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus. O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary! Pray for us O holy Mother of God, that we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ. Amen.
The month of May is devoted to Mary, the Mother of Jesus, and our Mother in heaven. As descendants of Eve, we too are banished from the Garden under the stain of original sin on our souls. Through Mary, who delivered to us our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, we are welcomed back. As any mother who loves her children, Mary will always intercede when asked and go to bat for us. She will take our hopes, desires, dreams, and prayers and present them in her loving hands to Jesus on our behalf. She is our loving advocate. Pray to Mary always, but also especially during the remainder of May. Seek her intercession for special intentions for yourself and those you love. And, as any son who has a good and loving relationship with his mother, Jesus will find it difficult, impossible to deny her requests.
Remember, Mary served as the portal for Jesus, God made man, to enter into our physical realm. Now, Mary serves as the portal for all of our prayers to enter the spiritual realm of the Sacred Heart of her Son, Jesus. Use her. Let Mary, the Holy Queen, be your personal advocate.
