“During the night the mystery was revealed to Daniel in a vision. Then Daniel praised the God of heaven and said: ‘Praise be to the name of God for ever and ever; wisdom and power are his. He changes times and seasons; he deposes kings and raises up others. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowlege to the discerning. He reveals deep and hidden things; he knows what lies in darkness, and light dwells with him. I thank and praise you, God of my ancestors: You have given me wisdom and power, you have made known to me what we asked of you, you have made known to us the dream of the king.” Daniel 2:19-23
Change is inevitable. One valuable piece of advice given me by a priest when I set out on my Journey Through The Stillness was that I should be prepared for it to change. He was giving me, in a sense, a heads up. He did not want me to feel guilty or bewildered when that inevitable change came. From the beginning I have tried to remain open to the changes, and even more than that, to accept the changes. Often, accepting change has meant stretching way beyond my comfort zone.
Today begins a bit of a change for postings here on Martha’s Orbital Buzz. Posting will continue as usual Monday through Friday, but no longer on Saturday and Sunday, and Friday’s post will always be a reflection on the Gospel in preparation for the coming Sunday.
The change is a result of trying to find the right balance for my life. I believe God is leading me in these writings, but that He also has other avenues for me. If writing becomes as work rather than spiritual inspiration, I must evaluate and make needed changes to be ready for what is next. I have learned this lesson the hard way, many times over.
It is imperative that spending time in The Stillness, and writing Journey Through The Stillness, remain my central focus. Not only is that where I find my inner peace and balance, but I also believe that to be my calling… to share Him in this way. Writing on Martha’s Orbital Buzz is an important spin off of my spiritual journey, and also one that I have felt led by Him to do. While each of these are very special areas in my life, I am also blessed with a beautiful family that brings me great joy… and that needs me.
It is my goal to remain open to God’s leading in all areas of my life. I hope and pray that I become the person He wants me to be, that I become all that He wants me to be. I hope this change does not lessen anyone’s enjoyment or inspiration! God is at work in you, just as He is in me. Together we will win the world for Him. God Bless.
